Frequently Asked Questions

How much does stage hire cost?

Stage hire prices vary depending on the size of stage, length of hire, dates, and location. As a guide, our smaller mobile stages start from around £1,400 + VAT and typically range up to £4,000 + VAT per event. Larger mobile festival stages can reach upwards £30,000 + VAT. For major events needing a custom-built stage, budgets usually start at around £50,000 + VAT. Every site and programme is different, so the best way to get accurate costs is to talk to us about your event plans.

Do you cover small events?

Yes. We cover small events just as much as large-scale festivals. Our StageMobil S and StageMobil LR are quick to set up, budget-friendly, and ideal for audiences from around 100 up to 2,000. Both stages can be supported with professional sound and lighting, giving community events, charity fundraisers, and local concerts the same production values as bigger shows, without long build times or heavy costs.

Do you provide sound and lighting too?

Sound and lighting are available as an additional extra alongside stage hire. We partner with our trusted production company, to deliver professional audio, lighting, and technical control systems scaled to your event. From compact setups for small community shows to full festival rigs for 50,000+, we bring clarity, reliability, and consistency. If you need outdoor stage hire with sound and lighting included, get in touch and we’ll put together the right package for your audience and venue.

Do you visit the site before hand?

We can carry out site visits if needed, although most bookings can be confirmed using information you provide such as site maps, access notes, or photos. In many cases, this avoids the need for a pre-event visit and keeps costs down. When a site visit is required, we usually don’t charge unless it involves extended time on site. For locations with particularly challenging access, we offer test deliveries of our stage trailers as an additional extra. Typical access challenges include narrow entrances, restricted town-centre locations, uneven ground, or tight corners for vehicles. Sharing these details early allows us to recommend the right stage and delivery plan. If you’re unsure whether your site is suitable, get in touch and we’ll advise on the best approach.

How far in advance shall I book a stage?

The earlier the better. Popular dates such as bank holidays, school holidays, and the whole of July can book up 6 months in advance. There are only a limited number of trailer stages available in the UK, so demand often exceeds supply. If all mobile stages are already booked, organisers usually have to switch to built stages, which are typically double the cost. Getting your enquiry in early gives you the best chance of securing the right stage at the right price. If you already have dates in mind, it’s worth contacting us now so we can pencil your event into the calendar.

Where are you based?

We’re based in Cheshire, just outside Manchester. We deliver our own mobile stages within roughly 100km, but our reach goes much further. Through our network, we regularly help clients source and manage stages across the UK. For us, location isn’t a limit. Whether it’s a town-centre festival, a regional showground, or a national event, our playground is wherever your audience lives.
